Client: Marketplace offering video effects, presets, templates, and plugins for popular editing software like After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and more. Unfortunately, we are unable to disclose the project name, so most data and examples in this case study will remain confidential.

What Our Agency Has Done
Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics Setup
Freelancers with whom our client cooperated before us had installed Google analytics on the site, but did not set up events and goals to collect data on conversions, so we had no data on which we could confidently rely and we set up everything from scratch and also decided to use Google tag manager to set up analytics to minimize contact with programmers.
We created custom event triggers to measure user actions such as product page views, add-to-cart events, downloads.
To set up eCommerce tracking in Google Analytics 4, we used GTM and further customized variables, triggers and tags and passed code with parameters and items array via dataLayer.
Search Ads Setup
Since the client had no statistics, we decided to initially focus on search advertising to attract the most interested users and get the first data on which we could build our further strategy:
- Keyword Research & Strategy: Conducted extensive keyword analysis, focusing on high-conversion intent queries relevant to products (e.g., “after effects plugins,” “premiere pro transitions,” “video editing presets”). Also identified negative keywords to eliminate irrelevant traffic and wasted ad spend.
- Campaign Structure & Ad Groups: Built highly granular campaign structures to improve Quality Scores and relevancy. Ads were grouped by specific product types (e.g., presets, plugins, templates) and editing software (After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Ad Copy Optimization: Crafted compelling and benefit-driven text ads emphasizing product quality, ease of integration, time-saving benefits, and positive user reviews. Implemented responsive search ads (RSAs) for automated optimization and better performance over time.
- Bid Management & Optimization: Utilized automated bid strategies (Maximize Conversions, Target CPA) to efficiently allocate budget, optimizing performance based on conversion data and ensuring maximum ROI.
- Dynamic Search Ads Campains (DSA): Implemented Dynamic Search Ads Campains to capture relevant traffic that traditional keyword-based campaigns might miss. Leveraged Google’s automated crawling of client’s website to dynamically generate ad headlines and landing pages, effectively addressing gaps in manual keyword coverage.
- Search Remarketing (RLSA): Established remarketing lists for search ads, enabling tailored bids and customized ad messaging specifically for returning visitors who had previously engaged with client’s website but had not yet converted.
